Egyptian businessman and Ceramica Cleopatra owner Mohamed Abou El-Enein has firmly rejected allegations that his club shows favoritism toward Al Ahly, emphasizing that all matches are played with full commitment and competitive integrity.

In a televised interview, Abou El-Enein described recent encounters between Ceramica Cleopatra and Al Ahly as intense and evenly contested, noting that both teams created chances and delivered strong performances. He stressed that such matches reflect the true nature of football, where outcomes are determined by performance and opportunity.

Addressing criticism over his known support for Al Ahly, Abou El-Enein acknowledged his personal affiliation but insisted it has no influence on professional decisions. He dismissed claims that his team intentionally underperforms or facilitates victories for other clubs, calling such narratives unfounded and lacking credibility.

He also highlighted the progress of Ceramica Cleopatra, praising the technical staff and players for their efforts and development in recent seasons. The club, he said, is focused on achieving success through merit and maintaining high standards on the pitch.

On transfers, Abou El-Enein affirmed that the club maintains professional relationships with all Egyptian teams, including Zamalek, and does not discriminate in negotiations. However, he made clear that key figures, particularly within the technical staff, are not available for transfer, describing them as essential to the club’s structure and ambitions.

The comments come as discussions continue within Egyptian football regarding competitiveness, refereeing decisions, and transparency, with Abou El-Enein reiterating his commitment to fair play and the principles of the sport.
