After a four-day trip to the most needy villages in Aswan and Luxor, the convoys (Sitr and Afia 14 and 15) finished their volunteering work in the Esna centre in Al-Dair village and Esna and their dependencies in Luxor Governorate, coming from the villages of Silwa and Al-Zaama in Aswan.

These convoys, in which the Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation and the National Alliance for Civil Development Action are participating in their implementation, targeted nearly 60,000 citizens from the most needy families, whom President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi instructed to take care of and support them in facing crises and poverty.

Through these conveys, they gave the needy blankets, meat boxes of foodstuffs, and winter clothes, as well as doing carnivals for children and distributing toys and school materials to them.

The members of the convey also gave food parcel boxes and blankets to the elderly through “Dafa Al-Shetaa” Campaign within the convoy, as well as distributing food and meat meals to help and serve the families through “Tarq Al-Abwab” campaign.

Along these conveys, there is a medical convey that includes a number of doctors with different specialities. Examination, drug dispensing, follow-up, eyeglasses measurement and processing are performed, in addition to the installation of compensatory devices, early detection of women and awareness of family planning and reproductive health.

The activities of the Convoys contain the implementation of the “Improve and Change” program for young people, which is an initiative launched by Microsoft Egypt in cooperation with several ministries and development institutions.

It is currently being implemented by CARE Egypt for Development with the aim of contributing to the training of youth for employment and solving the problems of unemployment and digital illiteracy, and that by providing an integrated system that combines training, qualification, capacity building and employment.

The convoy provides financing for small projects for village youth and farmers

Two Thousand volunteers, employees and executives are participating to perform charitable works in these convoys.

It is worth noting that the Abou El-Enein Charitable Foundation participating in these convoys with the National Alliance is a self-financing institution and does not accept donations.
