Abdel Moneim: I preferred Nice because of coach Frank Hayes

Egyptian international Mohamed Abdel Moneim expressed his happiness to join a club the size of Nice, France, in his first words at the press conference on the sidelines of his introduction to the media and fans on Thursday evening.

Mohamed Abdel Moneim said at the beginning of his speech at the press conference: "I am happy to join a club the size of Nice, and it is an important step for me, and I aspire to help the club compete for the French League and European League titles this season."

Abdel Moneim praised Nice's reception of him, saying: "The club's president, CEO and technical director received me wonderfully, and this made me very happy."

The Egyptian star added during his statements, saying: "I received more than one European offer, but I preferred to join Nice because Frank Hayes, the technical director, is convinced of my capabilities."

Abdel Moneim said: "The entire team, staff, players and administrators supported me as soon as I arrived at Nice, and this club helped its players a lot to reach the top in Europe."
