Abdel Ghaffar meets chairman of supreme council of Italian universities

CAIRO, Sept 21 (SEE)- The Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met on Friday with the chairman of the supreme council of Italian universities Gaetano Manfredi to discuss ways of boosting cooperation in the scientific and educational fields.

This came on the sidelines of the International Scientific Conference on Innovation, organized by the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, from September 20 to 22.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the establishment of an Italian University in Egypt, to help improve the quality of higher and technical education.

The two parties signed a letter of intent to increase the number of exchange students and professors, and initiatives to raise faculty members' abilities.

For his part, Manfredi expressed his appreciation for deepening the bonds of historical cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
