Abdallah Meshref Hospitalized in Critical Condition

Egyptian actor, Abdallah Meshref has been hospitalized with a suspected brain stroke early Thursday.

A source close to the actor told "youm 7", that he is in a very critical condition, and in the intensive care trying to save him.

During his artistic career, which lasted for over forty years, he participated in more than 130 films, TV series, plays, radio series, and animated programs.

It is worth mentioning that Abdallah Mohamed Abdallah, known as Abdallah Meshref, graduated from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1968.

Meshref, born on February 15, 1942, joined El Taliaa Theater immediately after his graduation. He collaborated with veteran actor Mohamed Sobhy in his theatre troupe as well as in several plays including ”Waghat Nazer” (Point of View), “Takhareef”, and “Lebet El Set” (The Lady’s Game).

He also collaborated with Sobhy in many television productions. Meshref is most famous for his role as "Abdallah" in TV series, “Yawmiyat Wanees” (Wanees’ Diary).

Meshref has also starred in several prominent roles,  such as, “Katibat El Aadam” (Execution Squad), “El Bayda wal Hagar” (The Egg and the Stone), “El Haroub” (The Escape), and “El Hasat El Sabaa" (The Seventh Sense).

The 78-year-old actor tied the knot to Aminah Al Dahan, who passed away in 2014.
