"A Quiet Place" is set in a post-apocalyptic world where huge creatures with heightened hearing devour humankind. The movie follows a father (Krasinski) and a mother (Emily Blunt) who struggle to survive and raise their children in the post-apocalyptic world.

The movie was also written by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. Beck and Woods, while in college, began developing a story that would lead to the film.

In 2016, Krasinski read their spec script and was hired to direct and rewrite the script in March 2017.

The movie was a huge success with both critics and audiences, allocating more than $340 million worldwide on a budget of less than $20 million, and earning an Oscar nomination for best sound editing.
