Nigerian politician Dr. Kairu Ojoboh died due to a sudden heart attack during the Nigerian national team's match against the South African national team in the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations, which is currently being held in Côte d'Ivoire and will continue until next Sunday, February 11.

The Nigerian national team narrowly clinched the qualification ticket to the final match of the African Cup of Nations after defeating South Africa on penalties, 4-2, in an exciting match that witnessed difficult times for fans of both teams.

The Nigerian newspaper "Punch" confirmed that Ojoboh screamed and died immediately after the South African national team scored a late goal against his country, Nigeria, which came from a penalty kick in the last minute.

The Nigerian national team qualified for the final of the African Cup of Nations for the first time since 2013, after defeating South Africa on Wednesday evening, in the semi-finals, via penalty kicks, with a score of 4-2, at Al Salam Stadium in the city of Bouaké.
