A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Rotog County in the Xicang Autonomous Region in southwestern China at 1:44 pm today, Saturday (Beijing time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The center stated - in a statement reported by the Chinese News Agency (Xinhua) - that the epicenter of the earthquake was monitored at the confluence of latitude 33.56 degrees north and longitude 81.84 degrees east, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
