Eight people were killed and several others were injured in an armed attack inside a school in the Austrian city of Graz.
Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) quoted local police as saying that several people, including students and teachers, were seriously injured.
It was also reported that the suspect, a student, is believed to have committed suicide. Police announced the launch of a large-scale security operation across the country.
Authorities have not yet announced the motive for the attack or the identities of the victims and the attacker.
