On Monday, the Pakistani police announced that an explosion hit a mosque in the city of Peshawar, near the border with Afghanistan, confirming that part of the building had collapsed, while some people were still under the rubble.
Muhammad Asim, a spokesman for Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, said they had received 70 people wounded, some of them in critical condition, as a result of the blast that targeted a mosque in Peshawar.
No party has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
