Egypt and the world celebrate World Refugee Day throughout history; Egypt has been keen to be a second home for all those who were forced to leave their mother country in search of a safe place to live in and a better life for themselves and their family.

Egypt is proud of hosting more than 6 million people, including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and is keen to provide them with a decent life, guarantee their rights, and provide them with health, educational and other basic services alongside Egyptian citizens without discrimination.

Egypt has always called for and is always calling for the need for concerted international efforts to deal with refugee issues from a comprehensive perspective that ensures the provision of more sustainable solutions, basing on the principle of joint international responsibility in sharing burdens.
