On Tuesday, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit near Japan's the Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific Ocean, south of Tokyo.
No Tsunami warnings were alerted after the earthquake according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
It occurred at 9:39 am local time at a depth of 50 km, measuring 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in Hahajima Island.
No immediate injuries or major damage were reported.
