On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the passing of the late Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser, the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science has announced a special 20% discount on a wide selection of its publications that document the life, legacy, and historical era of the iconic statesman.

Among the featured titles is “A Song for Nasser”, a collection of poems and tributes by leading Egyptian and Arab poets, introduced by engineer Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Shaaban. The foundation, in collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies, also released “Nasser” by A.A. Gareyshev, offering a Soviet perspective on the leader’s life and shedding light on new aspects of his role in Egypt’s modern history.

Other notable works include “The Pyramid of Nasser: The President and His Era” by Ambassador Andrei Baklanov (translated by Rania Kamel Mikhail), “Nasser and Khrushchev: Archival Documents on Egyptian-Soviet Relations” by Vladimir Belyakov (translated by Mona El-Desouki), and “Memoirs of Kamal El-Din Refaat: The National Liberation Struggle Between the Abolition of the 1936 Treaty and the 1954 Agreement.”

The foundation has also published “Egypt in the Age of Nasser” by Igor Belyaev and Yevgeny Primakov (translated by Abdel Rahman El-Khamisi), “Nasserites? Yes” by Kamal El-Din Refaat, and “Nasser as an Intellectual” by Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Shaaban, which examines the cultural and artistic scene during his rule. In addition, the foundation released “Memories with Him” in Russian, authored by Tahia Abdel Nasser, the late leader’s wife, offering a personal account of his life.

Shady El-Shafie, President of the Egyptian-Russian Foundation for Culture and Science, emphasized that Nasser’s death remains a turning point in the history of Egypt and the Arab world, noting the millions who attended his funeral—one of the largest in modern history. He affirmed that Nasser continues to inspire national liberation movements worldwide, particularly given his strong ties with the Soviet Union.

El-Shafie added that the foundation is committed to publishing works that cover the political, social, scientific, military, cultural, and historical dimensions of Nasser’s era, ensuring his enduring influence on future generations.
