53 Egyptian Migrants Detained in Libya Return to Homeland

The Egyptian embassy in Tripoli succeeded in arranging the return of 53 young Egyptians, who had been arrested by the Libyan authorities while trying to illegally emigrate by sea.

Coordination was made with the concerned Egyptian authorities to complete all the procedures for their return them to their homeland.

The detained citizens were transferred on Sunday, September 12, to Cairo on a private jet, within the framework of the permanent directives of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to provide all means of responsibility towards Egyptian citizens and make sure they return home safe.

Ambassador Tamer Mustafa, head of the Egyptian mission to Libya praised the concerned Libyan authorities for providing all the necessary facilities and arrangements to return Egyptians to their homeland.
