5 Top Major Sports Events Tamer Hosny Performed

During the last 8 years, Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny performed at many major sporting events.

Hosny is set to perform Wednesday evening at the 27th IHF Men’s World Championship, which will be held from  January 13 to 31, 2021 in Egypt.

The opening match will kick off at Cairo Stadium Sports Hall at 19:00 CLT, as it will be the second time for the Pharaohs to host the tournament since 1999.

Special Olympic Games

In 2014, the Air Defense Stadium witnessed the megastar performing at the opening ceremony of the 8th Regional Special Olympic Games hosted in Egypt.

He performed a special song made for the ceremony entitled "El Mawdo Fek", by Mohamed Mustafa and composed by Abdel Rahman Shawky.

UAE Super Cup Championship

Hosny performed in 2016 at the final match of the UAE Super Cup, which was held for the first time in Egypt.

FIFA World Cup

Hosny was chosen to present Egypt and perform the theme song of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 alongside Jason Derulo. He presented the song for the first time in El Gouna.

Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 

He participated in a singing operetta during the launch of the Special Olympics in UAE's capital Abu Dhabi in 2019, along with Hussain Al Jassmi, Assala, Louis Fonsi, and Avril Lavigne.

African Nations Cup

That year, Hosny also performed at the Cairo International Stadium during the conclusion of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.
