Israeli media have reported that a truck struck a bus station near Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, leading to significant casualties.
The crash injured approximately 40 people, the majority of whom were reportedly soldiers. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to the Israeli police spokesperson, several individuals were trapped beneath the truck, many of whom are in critical condition.
Updates on social media indicated that around 10 people are severely injured, and the overall injury count may be as high as 50, with at least 15 in serious condition.
The Israeli emergency medical service has confirmed that it transported 16 injured individuals to hospitals in Tel Aviv, including Ichilov,
Beilinson, and Sheba. Among them, four are in critical condition, four have moderate injuries, and eight sustained minor injuries.
Later reports revealed that five people had died in the incident. Israeli police confirmed that the truck driver, who carried out what they described as a “deliberate attack with nationalistic motives,” was also killed during the incident.
