On Tuesday, 45th Cairo International Film Festival screened Moroccan feature “I am not Myself” with Egyptian dubbing.
Directed by Hicham El Jebbari, the film revolves around Fareed who is spending his honeymoon with his wife Hanan, but his honeymoon turns to be a big trap for his as he is chased by a number of traders whose money was stolen by Fareed and his three ex-wives.
The director of the film thanked the audience who attended the first premiere for the film with the Egyptian dubbing, expressing that he is very happy to watch this version of the feature. He added the film is one of his dreams that came true.
He highlighted that the film attracted wide fanbase in Morocco and the idea of adding Egyptian dubbing for the film is an influential method to break the barriers between Egyptian and Moroccan peoples due to the complexity of the Moroccan delicate.
On his side, the film’s actor Aziz Dadas, who plays the role of Fareed, said that he is really happy to share this experience with the Egyptian people. In addition, the producer of the film thanked the audience, revealing that she hopes that this experience inspires other Moroccan filmmakers and suits the Egyptian audience.
