Egypt's national handball team boss the Spaniard Roberto Garcia Parrondo has settled on the squad by which he will go through the World Handball Championship.

The Egyptian national team will debut their World Cup fixtures by facing Chile within Group G, which includes also Sweden and North Macedonia.

The head coach of Egypt national team decided to exclude Abdel Rahman Homaid, Ahmed Adel, Ahmed Khairy and Khaled Walid from his list.

Despite the exclusion of the quartet from the Egyptian team squad, they are to remain with the national team at the residence hotel, due to the possibility of making five technical substitutions during the tournament.

This edition of the World Cup held in Egypt will see the participation of 32 teams for the first time, however, the world championship will be held with no fans attendance due to the spread of Corona virus.
