Four members of Iraq’s tribal and Popular Mobilization forces were killed and ten others injured in a US airstrike targeting a facility in western Iraq, according to Iraqi media reports on Monday.

The strike reportedly hit a headquarters used by tribal fighters and members of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the village of Saada in the Al-Qaim district of Anbar province, about 500 kilometers west of Baghdad.

Local reports said the attack involved five missiles that struck the site, causing multiple casualties among the fighters stationed there.

Positions belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces along the Iraq-Syria border have been repeatedly targeted in recent weeks, with dozens reported killed or wounded since the war launched by Israel and the United States against Iran on February 28.

In response, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of Iran-aligned armed factions, announced attacks on US targets inside Iraq.
