The stations of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Egypt recorded an earthquake measuring 3.85 on the Richter scale, 33 km southwest of Al-Tur.
The National Institute did not report any loss of life or buildings.
On its part, the Operations and Crisis Management Center at the governorate's general office stated that it had received a notification from the institute stating that an earthquake occurred 33 kilometers southwest of the city of Al-Tur.
The Operations Center confirmed that the earthquake did not result in any loss of life or private and public property, and a maximum emergency was lifted in anticipation of the occurrence of other quakes, especially since the city was recently subjected to two strong earthquakes at close intervals.
In the context, some residents, in the area located in the vicinity of Mount Sinai, said that they did not feel the earthquake.
