Updated: 5 Killed, 21 Wounded in Kabul’s Massive Explosion

This morning, a series of powerful explosions hit the center of Kabul, amid reports that rockets landed in various parts of the city, according to AFP.

The Interior Affairs Ministry said that at least three people died and 11 more wounded in the rocket attacks, according to WION.

later on, the Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health announced that the death toll has risen to 5 dead citizens, and 21 wounded.

TOLOnews TV mentioned that one of the Afghani security personnel was killed and three others were injured in the massive explosion.

“Two magnetic IED explosions reported in Arzan Qeemat and Chehel Sutoon areas in Kabul this morning,” TOLOnews wrote on Twitter, “The explosion left one security force member dead and three others wounded. The second explosion had no casualties.”

Sirens were heard in embassies and company headquarters in and around the Green Zone, which is a heavily fortified neighborhood, including the headquarters of dozens of international companies as well as their workers.

So far, there is no armed group has claimed any responsibility for the two explosions.
