Three Egyptian players have qualified for the FS Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships on Friday. Egypt’s World No.5 Nouran Gohar has reached the semi-finals of this tournament for the first time in her career.

The Pharaohs' player beat Wales’ World No.9 Tesni Evans in straight games 3-0. The Egyptian player did not qualify for the semi-finals before as she only reached the quarter-finals for the last two years.

Gohar delivered an excellent performance during the tournament, especially in the quarter-final game as she pulled off an 11-8, 11-5, 11-5 victory over Evans. Gohar set up a semi-final fixture with French No.2 Camille Serme.

On the other hand, Egypt’s World No.2 Mohamed ElShorbagy continued the defending campaign of his crown after overcoming a tough Paul Coll of New Zealand in straight games.

While Egypt’s World No.3 Tarek Momen advanced to the semi-final game defeating Germany’s World No.6 Simon Rosner. Momen came from a game down to beat Rosner 3-1, setting up an all-Egyptian semi-final game with ElShorbagy.
