3 Egyptian Ministers Head to London for Africa Investment Summit

Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania al-Mashat, Dr. Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform, Hala al-Saeed, left for London today to participate in Africa Investment Summit.

The summit will witness the participation of some African countries heads of states headed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Al-Mashat recently with Geoffrey Adams, British Ambassador; she expressed her keenness on continuing economic coordination with Britain.

The British-African Investment Summit is held over three days with the participation of many governments and international institutions. It will review and promote investment opportunities in Africa. It is a very important event, especially with Britain's efforts to exit the European Union. London supports investment projects in Africa.

On her part, Al-Saeed explained that the summit will contribute in creating many partnerships that will provide more investment opportunities in the African continent. It will also contribute to providing job opportunities and achieving growth rates that would play a great role in implementing of the goals of the Africa Agenda 2063.

She pointed out that holding such international forums and summits contribute to achieving the goals of international development and to achieving the sustainable development strategy for each country.

Al-Saeed explained that the African continent needs to attract foreign investment and stimulate the international trade movement.

She will participate in a symposium entitled: "Egypt as a hub and portal for trade and investment in Africa", organized by the British Business Council, as well as participating in roundtable sessions on projects with a focus on housing, transport, and water.

On her part, Jameh is also keen on presenting the Egyptian experience in developing and encouraging investment in the industrial sector, as well as offering tremendous investment opportunities in the Egyptian market to the participants in the summit, whether from the African or the United Kingdom.
