2nd Preliminary Round of Squash World Title to Kick off Tonight, 13 Egy Stars to Participate

Tonight, the games of the second preliminary round of the Squash World Championship in Egypt will kick off.

13 Egyptian players were advanced to the second preliminary round in both divisions.

The advanced Egyptian men a:re Mostafa Asal, Fares El Dossouky, Youssef Soliman, Yehia El Nawsani, and Mazen Hesham.

The advanced Egyptian women are: Hania El Hammami, Nouran Gohar, Kenzi Ayman, Mariam Metawlly, Nour El Tayeb, Rawan El Arabi, and Hana Moataz.

The competitions of the tournament are taking place in Cairo. The preliminary round games took place in several private clubs, while the main draw will kick off at the National Museum of the Egyptian Civilization.

Squash World's Championship is taking place between May 9 and 18.

Egypt's Nour El Sherbiny and Ali Farag are the current title holders for the men's and women's divisions.

On Egypt's hosting for the tournament, PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough, previously, said: “We are delighted to bring squash’s biggest event back to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which is the latest iconic Egyptian landmark to host a professional squash tournament."
