The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw will take place tomorrow, Friday, in the US capital, Washington, D.C.
The tournament will take place next year across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Fans worldwide await the results of the draw to learn which group their national teams will be placed in for this newly formatted edition of the world's most prestigious football competition.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian national team will participate in the upcoming World Cup edition.
The opening match of the World Cup will be held in Mexico on June 11. With Mexico in Pot 1, attention naturally turns to the identity of the opponent they will face in this historic opening match.
The list of possible opponents for Mexico includes Egypt, Norway, Algeria, Scotland, Paraguay, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.
This means that five Arab teams could potentially appear in the World Cup opener, something that has rarely happened in the history of football’s biggest global event.
