Norway secured a dramatic place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after Erling Haaland scored a late winner in a thrilling 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast at Dallas Stadium in Texas.
Antonio Nusa gave Norway the lead in the 39th minute with a superb strike to hand the Scandinavians a deserved advantage heading into halftime.

Ivory Coast responded in the second half as substitute Amad Diallo equalized in the 74th minute with an impressive finish, setting up a tense finale.
However, Haaland delivered when it mattered most, finding the back of the net in the 86th minute to seal Norway's victory and book their place in the Round of 16.
Norway will now face Brazil in one of the standout fixtures of the next round.
