Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Copenhagen in their UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday night at Parken Stadium, in the penultimate round of the league phase of the competition.

Napoli took the lead in the 39th minute through Scott McTominay, giving the Italian side the advantage before halftime.

However, Copenhagen managed to level the score in the 72nd minute thanks to a goal from Larsson, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw, an outcome that complicated both teams’ positions in the standings with the league phase nearing its conclusion.

Following the draw, Napoli sit in 23rd place with eight points, while Copenhagen occupy 24th place with the same number of points.

Napoli’s Champions League campaign has been inconsistent, having suffered heavy defeats earlier in the tournament against Manchester City and PSV Eindhoven, including a notable 6-2 loss.

The Italian side later showed signs of recovery with a win over Qarabag and a draw against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Napoli’s struggles away from home were once again evident, as they have now lost five consecutive away matches in the Champions League, conceding at least two goals in each of those games.

Despite their strong form at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, where they have remained unbeaten in domestic and European competitions for over a year, their away performances remain a clear weakness.

Offensively, Napoli have also faced challenges in the competition, with only Scott McTominay and Rasmus Højlund managing to score goals for the club in this Champions League campaign so far.
