Juventus will host Portuguese side Benfica on Wednesday night at the Allianz Stadium, as the two teams meet in Matchday 7 of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Since Luciano Spalletti took charge, Juventus have shown a noticeable improvement in performances, although the Bianconeri remain outside the top eight in the Champions League standings with only two matches remaining.
Juventus head into the fixture on the back of two consecutive victories in the competition, despite suffering a recent 1-0 defeat to Cagliari in Serie A at the Unipol Domus Stadium in Sardinia.
Benfica, meanwhile, have undergone a managerial change, with José Mourinho replacing Bruno Lage after a difficult start to their Champions League campaign, during which the Portuguese side lost their first four matches.
Benfica are now targeting a place inside the top 24 following wins over Ajax and Napoli. However, they come into the game after a loss to Porto in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup, before bouncing back with a 2-0 away victory over Rio Ave.
Juventus currently sit 17th in the Champions League table with nine points from six matches. Benfica, on the other hand, are in 25th place with six points from six games, making the encounter crucial for both sides as they chase qualification to the next stage.
