The fifth annual "Together at Christmas" carol service was held on Friday, 5 December, at Westminster Abbey, attended by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales and other members of the Royal Family.
Led by the Princess of Wales and supported by The Royal Foundation, the event brought together more than 1,600 people from across the UK to celebrate the many expressions of love.
So special to come together this evening for this year’s 'Together at Christmas' Carol Service.

The service paid tribute to volunteers, community leaders, and those who support others through acts of kindness.
Blending traditional worship with contemporary elements to welcome people of all faiths and none, the service featured classic carols performed by the world-famous Westminster Abbey choir.
Musical performances were also given by Zac Abel, Dan Smith, Griff, Katie Melua, and Cornish folk group Fisherman’s Friends.

These were delivered by The Prince of Wales, Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Babatunde Aléshé and Joe Locke, with pianist Paul Gladstone Reid accompanying Locke’s reading. Candles were lit by individuals whom the royal couple have met over recent years.
Guests received a special letter from the Princess of Wales alongside the Order of Service.
In it, she thanked them for the kindness and quiet strength they share with others, reflecting on the importance of human connection and the way Christmas encourages us to appreciate its power.
Highlighting nature’s role in bringing people together, plantsman Jamie Butterworth created a festive natural setting outside the Abbey, while wreaths donated by the Royal Horticultural Society and florist Simon Lycett decorated the interior.
Beyond the Westminster Abbey gathering, 15 community carol services are being held around the UK to honour people who make exceptional contributions to their local communities.
In Manchester, ITV’s Coronation Street set hosted a carol service where cast members delivered seasonal readings to an audience of 100 volunteers, fundraisers and community workers. In Armagh, more than 250 people marked the beginning of the festive season at a service in the Cathedral Church of St Patrick.
The Westminster Abbey service will be broadcast as part of Royal Carols: Together At Christmas, airing on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve, with a repeat on Christmas morning.
