On Wednesday, Al Ahly football team players took a group photo with the FIFA Club World Cup trophy.
The trophy is currently in Cairo as part of its promotional tour around the world.
The players gathered for a group photo with the trophy, ahead of a celebration scheduled for tomorrow at the El-Tetsh Stadium to welcome the cup before its promotional visit to Egypt concludes.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino celebrated the arrival of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 trophy in Egypt, hosted by Al Ahly.
The trophy will tour the banks of the Nile on February 13 and 14 as part of its global promotional tour.
Infantino marked the occasion by posting about the trophy’s arrival on Instagram.
Infantino apologized for being unable to attend the grand celebration organized by Al Ahly on February 13 and 14 to welcome the Club World Cup trophy.
He cited prior commitments in the United States during that period.
Al Ahly had extended an official invitation to the FIFA president for the event.
The club also invited several prominent figures from Egyptian and global sports, including CAF President Patrice Motsepe, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Football Association President Hany Abu Rida, and former Al Ahly presidents Hassan Hamdy and Mahmoud Taher.
