Borussia Dortmund 4–3 Mamelodi Sundowns

Group F

A seven-goal thriller in Ohio marked one of the tournament’s standout matches. Jobe Bellingham, scoring his debut goal and named Man of the Match, opened the scoring in surreal fashion under sweltering heat. 

This game was the most discussed game on social media as the South African warriors provided a strong performance. 

Sundowns kept pace with three goals, but Dortmund sealed it late to grab a vital win and momentum in their group.

Inter Milan 2–1 Urawa Red Diamonds

Group E

Inter Milan secured their first victory of the competition, overturning an early deficit from Urawa. 

With this result, the Japanese team are eliminated from the tournament.

Fluminense 4–2 Ulsan Hyundai

Group F

Fluminense hit back from behind to clinch a win over Ulsan Hyundai, grabbing their first tournament three points. 

The eight-goal affair showcased Brazilian resilience and reshuffled Group F’s standings.

River Plate 0–0 Monterrey

Group E

Both sides settled for a goalless draw in Pasadena. Monterrey’s goalkeeper Esteban Andrada stood tall with several key saves, while River Plate finished with ten men after Kevin Castaño’s red card. 

The stalemate leaves both clubs tied on four points, intensifying the battle for qualification.
