The first goal came in the 17th minute when Guillermo Varela delivered a cross to Luiz Araujo, who passed the ball into the path of Arrascaeta to hit the nets.

Pedro Neto opened the scoring in the 34th minute. In the 79th minute, substitute Liam Delap made an immediate impact, assisting Enzo Fernandez's goal with a perfect cross.
Group C: Boca Juniors 2–2 Benfica
