Spanish coach Luis Enrique, manager of Paris Saint-Germain and reigning UEFA Champions League winner, has been named the winner of the Johan Cruyff Award for Best Coach in the World at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony, held in Paris and organized by France Football.
The award was presented by legendary Italian coach Fabio Capello, though Enrique was unable to attend the gala due to PSG’s ongoing Ligue 1 clash against Marseille, where his team trailed 1-0 at halftime.
The shortlist for the 2025 Best Coach Award featured several high-profile names, including Hansi Flick (Barcelona), Antonio Conte (Napoli), Enzo Maresca (Chelsea), and Arne Slot (Liverpool).
Enrique secured the accolade after guiding PSG to a historic campaign in 2025, lifting five major trophies: the UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, French Super Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.
