Tomorrow, the 2025 Australian Open will kick off which is the first of the four Grand Slam tournaments in 2025.
The tournament will take place between Sunday, January 12, and January 26.
At Melbourne Park in Australia, a group of top-seeded tennis stars will compete, most notably the defending champion, Italy’s Jannik Sinner, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world.
Among the top contenders is the Serbian legend Novak Djokovic, who holds a record 24 Grand Slam titles and is currently ranked seventh.
Other strong candidates are the world's No. 2 Germany’s Alexander Zverev, and the Russian Daniil Medvedev.
Regarding women's competitions, several top-seeded names are hungry to catch the Grand Slam title such as the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, who is the reigning champion of the last two editions, in addition to Poland’s Iga Świątek.
There are several Arabic names scheduled for the tournament such as Egypt's Mayar Sherif, and Tunisia's Ons Jabeur.
