The Jordan national team beat the UAE 2–1 on Wednesday at Al Bayt Stadium as part of the first round of the group stage in the 2025 Arab Cup currently taking place in Qatar.
The goals of the match were scored by Ali Al-Alwan and Yazan Al-Naimat in the 20th and 63rd minutes, respectively, for Jordan, while the UAE’s only goal was scored by Bruno Oliveira in the 47th minute.
Jordan topped Group C with 3 points, earned from one win, two goals scored, and one conceded.
Kuwait is second with 1 point, equal with Egypt after their 1–1 draw yesterday. The UAE is at the bottom of the group with zero points.
The match also saw Ali Al-Alwan miss a penalty in the 39th minute after the UAE goalkeeper saved it.
