Early Sunday, WWE presented its biggest annual summer event, SummerSlam, at at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the first SummerSlam since the establishment of TKO that merged WWE, and UFC.
WWE Hall of Famer Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, was the main force in drawing the storylines of the event.
The show marked nice, and good in-ring performance, nice follow for the majority of the stories.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes retained his title, and win the second single Bloodline Rules match against Solo Sikoa. The match witnessed the interference of the New Bloodline members, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa, and Rhodes' allies Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens.
Finally, Reigns showed up for the first time since losing his title to Rhodes in WrestleMania and cost Sikoa, who claimed that he is the real tribal chief, the match.
Gunther was crowned as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion after defeating Damian Priest in a good match after Priest's Judgement Day-mate Finn Balor assisted Gunther and betrayed Priest.
In addition, Women's World Heavyweight Champion Liv Morgan retained her title, after the Judgement Day's Dominik Mysterio turned on his Judgement Day's ally Rhea Ripley, and cost her the match.
It seems that the story of the Judgement Day came to an end as Balor, and Mysterio will take Morgan's side, while Priest could be still loyal to Ripley. The situation of the other members could be vague, but Carlito could take his Hispanic-culture brother, Mysterio, side, and JD McDonagh could stand with his mentor, Balor, in the fued.
CM Punk made his first SummerSlam fight in 10 years as he faced his top rival Drew McIntyre in a match officiated by Seth Rollins who helped McIntyre to win.
The match witnessed several disputes between the 3 superstars. Although Rollins played a good role in the contest's storytelling but his presence harmed the major line between McIntyre and Punk.
This teased that the feud could be extended to be a triple-threat one.
Bron Breakker took his revange and defeated Sami Zayn to be the new WWE Intercontinental title, and LA Knight was supported by WWE US Champion Logan Paul's city crowds, and defeated him to capture his first title in the main roaster.
Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton helped Nia Jax to defeated Bayley and capture the WWE Women's World title.
