Spain's Carlos Alcaraz reached a new milestone in his career in the Olympic Games by becoming the youngest tennis player to reach the final of the tournament.
He is also a one win away from becoming the youngest male tennis player to win an Olympics tennis singles gold.
Alcaraz reached the final after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinals, today.
The 21-year-old player already has four Grand Slam titles, including Roland Garros.
If Novak Djokovic succeeds in defeating, Lorenzo Musetti tonight, he will have another contest against Alcaraz less than a month after their final meeting in 2024 Wimbledon final where Alcaraz retained his title.
It was unclear how fit Djokovic would be for that match, after he complained "sharp pain" in his surgically repaired right knee while facing Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals Thursday night.
