Nayel Nassar, Egyptian American professional equestrian, withdrew from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games after his horse sustained an injury, the Egyptian Equestrian Federation announced on Saturday.
The statement revealed that the horse sustained an injury in its right ergot during yesterday's rehearsals, explaining that Nassar can't participate with his second horse due to the competition's regulations that does not allow to change the horse after 31st July.
In addition, the regulations don't allow to the riders to submit to the medical checkup with more than a horse, also don't allow the change of the rider which means the end of the Egyptian competition in the equestrian competitions.
In the same context, several equestrian withdrew from the competitions from France, the Netherlands, USA, and the team of Mexico.
