Sweden thrashed Italy 5-0 to advance to the round of 16, after gaining 6 points after 2 rounds of the FIFA Women's World Cup's stage group.

Sweden led the game after scoring three first-half goals, after battling for more than 35 minutes at the beginning of the contest.

Arsenal Women's star Amanda Ilestedt scored the first goal of the game from a corner, doubled by Fridolina Rolfö after only five minutes.

The lines of the Italians continued to collapse and were thrashed by Stina Blackstenius's goal.

In 50, another corner kick for the Swedish paved the way for Ilestedt to score the fourth.

Finally, Rebecka Blomqvist made a long pass and hit the ball past Francesca Durante's nets.
