On Friday, Canada and Nigeria's game was settled with a goalless draw in the first round of Group B at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Although it wasn't the start that Canada wished to have, it was almost a victory for the African women's football pioneers, Nigeria.
The game was a highly competitive one, and Canada's Sinclair had the chance to put her team ahead, but her hopes vanished with the heroic save by the Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
There were exchanged strikes to capture a winning goal, especially during the final 10 minutes of the match, but both teams failed.
During the game, Deborah Abiodun of Nigeria was sent-off in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Canada will face Ireland, Wednesday, while Nigeria will face Australia.
