France Football has revealed the 20-man shortlist for the 2019 Ballon d'Or award with ten names still to come later Monday.
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has not been selected yet in the shortlist as it will reveal the rest of the names later.
The Reds' players dominated the list as the shortlist included six players from the Anfield; Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Alisson. There are 30 names set to be announced throughout the day.
Last year, Barcelona midfielder Luka Modric won the 2018 prestigious award, ending seven years of dominance by Ronaldo and Messi.
The winner of this accolade prize will be announced in Paris on December 2, but first, the list will be condensed to a shortlist of nominees.
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has also been nominated for the award. If he manages to scoop this award, he will be the first defender to claim the renowned prize since Fabio Cannavaro back in 2006.
