On Saturday, two were confirmed dead and dozen other were injured in a gas station explosion in Al Byda city, Eastern Yemen.
Regarding the cause of the accident, sources told Sputnik reporters that a fire sparked in the station. Shortly, the fire reached the main gas tank of the station causing the explosion.
The sources added that two dead and at least 48 injured. Also, a number of injured were rushed to hospital in a critical case.
On the other hand, the explosion left huge scenes of destruction behind as a number of cars, and homes near the scene.
Yemen is still suffering from poor economic status and harsh humanitarian crisis alongside the rising political unrest.
