2 Channels Set to Broadcast U-23 AFCON Final

Two channels are set to broadcast Egypt’s encounter against Ivory Coast at U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final. 

Both teams, who bokked their place in 2020 Tokyo Olympic games, are set to play at Cairo International Stadium later on Friday in the final. 

The match is set to be aired via Time Sports and Bein Sports as the Egyptian channel Time Sports has the right to broadcast the encounters on the terrestrial TV channels.

Egypt, who qualified for the final after pukking off four consecutive victories over Mali, Chana, Cameroon, and South Africa. 

They qualified for the final after thrashing South Africa with three unanswered goals on Tuesday.

Ramadan Sobhi converted from a penalty spot, putting the Pharaohs ahead in the 60th minute. Abdel Rahman Magdy doubled the Pharaohs’ lead in the 84th minute after firing a shot from the center of the box.

 

Magdy added the third for the hosts in the 89th minute through a left-foot shot from the outside of the box, to send the Pharaohs the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations final.

Whilst, the Elephants reached the final after defeating Ghana on Penalities 3-2 following a 2-2 draw. 

Before the final clash, the Black Stars are set to face Bafana Bafana in an expected hard-fought match as both teams will fight to earn Africa's third spot in Tokyo. 

Noteworthy, the top three positions at the tournament will qualify automatically to represent Africa at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The tournament came after Egypt dazzled the world when it hosted the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
