Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 17 Palestinians on Wednesday during a series of raids across cities and towns in the West Bank, according to Palestinian sources.
The Palestinian News Agency reported that Israeli forces detained 14 Palestinians from Hebron Governorate, one resident from the northern Jordan Valley, and a young man from Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, after raiding his home and vandalizing its contents.
In a separate incident, Israeli troops arrested a young man from student housing at the Arab American University in Jenin, following a raid and search of the premises.
Israeli forces also set up multiple military checkpoints at the entrances of Hebron, as well as its surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps. Several main and secondary roads were closed using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds, further restricting the movement of Palestinian residents.
The arrests come amid ongoing Israeli military operations and intensified security measures across the occupied West Bank.
