16 Killed in Blast in Northern Mali

16 persons killed in an explosion near Gao, spokesperson of the Malian army Souleymane Dembélé announced on Thursday.

He described that the explosion occurred after the victims' carriage hit the hidden bomb.

The spokesperson highlighted that no movement or party has announced its responsibility for locating the bomb, moreover, no more details have been reported.

It is worthy to mention that the Mali-Niger borders saw a terroristic attack that targeted a military patrol. The attack left behind at least 20 killed including 16 soldiers.

Moreover, the neighboring countries' borders witnessed several terrorist acts in the past few weeks.
