Afghanistan is grappling with the aftermath of a severe snowfall that has claimed the lives of 15 individuals and inflicted injuries on nearly 30 others across multiple provinces.
The snowstorm, which blanketed vast areas, has also taken a heavy toll on the livestock sector, with nearly 10,000 animals perishing due to the extreme weather conditions.
In response, the Afghan government has convened a special committee, comprising various ministries, to address the damages and provide necessary support to the affected livestock owners.
This initiative aims to mitigate the impact on those hardest hits in the afflicted regions.
