At least 14 people were killed and more than 50 others injured in various cities in Pakistan's Punjab province, in incidents linked to bad weather. The region has witnessed dust storms, thunderstorms, and heavy rainfall over the past few days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast thunderstorms and blizzards in the capital, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Potohar, and some areas of Punjab and Balochistan provinces in the coming days, Geo News reported on Sunday.
The authority also pointed out to the possibility of heavy rain and storms in various parts of Pakistan later today.
It added that the highest temperature in the country in the past 24 hours was recorded in Jacobabad, reaching 50 degrees Celsius, followed by Sibi, which recorded 49 degrees Celsius.
