Police in Nepal said that heavy rains caused floods and landslides, killing at least 14 people and leaving 9 others missing.
Floods in neighboring India, as well as Bangladesh, also caused widespread damage and affected millions of people.
Police spokesman Dan Bahadur Karki told AFP on Sunday, "The police are working with other agencies and residents to find the missing people."
The Nepalese authorities warned, according to what was reported by the French newspaper "Le Figaro", of new flash floods in several rivers following heavy rains since the day before yesterday, Thursday.
There have been reports of flooding in several low-lying areas on the border with India.
