Officials in Nepal announced on Friday that 14 people were killed and 16 others were injured as a result of a bus crash.
The bus was carrying dozens of Indians, west of the capital, Kathmandu.
ABC News network reported that the bus deviated from the Prithvi Expressway and fell towards the Marsyangdi River, but stopped on its rocky bank, noting that the upper part of the bus was crushed.
The American network indicated that rescuers are working with the participation of police and army forces in order to extract people from inside the wreckage near the town of "Abu Khairini", about 120 kilometers west of the capital, Kathmandu, and to search for missing persons.
Officials have not yet been able to determine the number of missing people or the exact number of people who were on board the bus when it crashed.
It is noteworthy that bus accidents in Nepal are usually blamed on poor maintenance of roads and vehicles.
