13 Egyptian Squash Stars Advance to Britain Open's Last 16 Round

13 Egyptian Squash stars advanced to the round of last-16 in the Britain Open Championship for both men and women. 

Ali, Farag, Mohamed El Sherbiny, Tarek Mo'men, Karim Abdel Gawad, Marawan El Shorbagy, and Youssef Soliman advanced to the last-16 round of the tournament.

For women, 6 Egyptian queens reached the round of last 16: Nouran Gohar, Nada Abaas, Rawan Al Araby, Hania El Hamamy, Salma Hany, and Nour El Sherbiny.

The British Open 2023 tournament kicked off, Sunday, with the participation of 28 Egyptian squash players. The tournament is scheduled to take place between April 9 and 16.

The Egyptian squash stars will participate in the tournament in both sections: men and women.

For males, Ali Farag, Omar Mosaad, Mohamed El Sherbiny, Yehia Al Nawsany, Ali Abo El Enein, Tarek Mo'men, Mazen Hesham, Karim Abdel Gawad, Youssef Soliman, Marwan El Shorbagy, and Youssef Ibrahim will participate at the championship.

For women, Nouran Gohar, Nour El Sherbiny, Mariam Metwally, Nour Abu El Makarim, Frida Mohmed, Fyarouz Abou El Kheir, Hana Moataz, Yathreb Adel, Hana Ramadan, Zina Makwa, Sana Ibrahim, Nadin Shahin, Salma Hany, Hania El Hammammy, and Rawan El Araby.

El Hammammy, the second in the international ranking, is the title holder for women, while Paul Coll is the men's title holder.

A few days before the tournament, Professional Squash Association announced that Egyptian squash star Nour Al Tayeb withdrew from the forthcoming tournament.
